laurel porcari holds graduate degrees in both art and architecture, and with her feet planted firmly on both sides of the fence, she offers up her skills and expertise in art, design and architecture. a native of new york , laurel worked in architecture firms in new york city and as a professor at the prestigious royal melbourne institute of technology in australia before moving to new orleans to take a visiting professorship at tulane’s architecture school. her teaching contract has evolved into complete commitment and total involvement in the new orleans ’ art and design community. laurel has her own studio for architectural kiln formed glass and art commissions, and is a board member and teacher for new orleans creative glass institute and an adjunct design instructor at tulane.
