in summer 2006, bild design partnered with tulane’s school of architecture and several community non-profit agencies to advise the design and construction of a site specific, low cost and environmentally responsive housing prototype in the treme neighborhood of new orleans. first in a series of endeavors, this project deals with issues of programmatic adaptability, heightened elevation requirements, and street-front social space, which maintains continuity with neighborhood activities.
